Unarmed Self-Defense
Copacetic Defense Training: 907-360-8332
If your defense skills do not extend beyond your firearm, they are insufficient. Many people do not choose to carry a firearm with them. For them and for those that want to expand their self-defense skills, unarmed defense offers an alternative or valuable supplement. CDT Chief Instructor Dr. Guy has black belts in Shotokan Karate (1st Dan) Shokenryu Karate (Shodan), and Bojutsu (staff technique). He is a member of the American Karate Association, World Wide Martial Arts Association, and Global Martial Arts University. Dr. Guy is a certified martial arts teacher (CMAT) having earned certification through the Global Martial Arts University.
Only 3% of the populous wants to go a karate school two or three times a week and go through a belt system. Most people just want to have a greater knowledge about defending themselves in a confrontational situation. You don’t need to be a black belt to know how to better defend yourself in unarmed scenarios. There are simple, yet effective methods for getting an assailant to back off, giving you time to move yourself out of harm’s way.
Copacetic Defense Training conducts individual and group classes that teach simple unarmed moves for getting an attacker to back off or to take their hands off of you. The class is approximately 2 hours long. In addition to the instruction, participants will be given a link covering each of the techniques demonstrated and a certificate of completion for the training. CDT offers training based on the ethic of striving to achieve a good outcome; meaning everyone walks away healthy. However, that opportunity may not always be possible.
Contact Copacetic today for a free consultation and to arrange either individual or group instruction in unarmed defense. Like its firearms training, CDT offers a 10% discount for active military, veterans, law enforcement, former law enforcement, and seniors (55 plus). The normal tuition rate for unarmed defense is $75.00 per hour.
